Hawaiian Elopement Packages

Hawaiian Elopement Packages

There are various islands that offer Hawaiian elopement packages. Elopements in Hawaii are like no other. With its epic sunsets and salt-kissed beaches, this tropical paradise makes the perfect setting for your big day.

However, the islands can be expensive if you don’t plan ahead. This is why finding a Hawaii elopement package is key. We’ll help you sift through the options and figure out what vendors are a priority for you!

Maui

Maui has many Hawaiian elopement packages that are designed for couples on a budget. These packages include an on-site wedding coordinator, 2 Kukui nut keepsake leis, and a licensed minister presiding over the ceremony. They also include 20-50 choice digital full-resolution images within 30 days.

You can have an elopement at one of the most breathtaking locations in Hawaii, from a stunning beach to an opulent indoor setting. However, the overall elopement cost will depend on which vendors you decide to include in your ceremony. You will need to determine what is most important for you and your partner.

Kanani Enos is a multi-faceted Hawaiian ceremonial artist who specializes in hula instruction, spiritual healing, and cultural practice. She is passionate about the traditions of her islands and loves to share them with others. She also has a wide range of experience performing wedding ceremonies in the state of Hawaii. She has a diverse background and can accommodate the needs of each client.

Oahu

Once you and your partner have decided to elope in Hawaii and have chosen one of the Hawaiian elopement packages, there are so many epic backdrops to choose from that it can be difficult to narrow down the options. Choosing the perfect location can help make your day that much more special, as it will set the tone for your ceremony and photography.

Oahu is home to the capital city of Honolulu and has a unique mix of natural paradise and urban conveniences. Its pristine beaches on the north shore of Honolulu, wide stretches of open fields, and cliffs overlooking the ocean such as the drive to Makapuu are ideal for wedding photos.

If you don’t mind the drive, you may also prefer a more secluded spot on one of the islands, such as Waimanalo Beach on Oahu. This wide open sandy destination has scenic trees and rock formations. Or, you could opt for a beach with less crowds such as Papailoa Beach or Kawela Bay. Eloping can be a great way to avoid the big crowds and keep your ceremony more intimate.

Kauai

Known for its lush rainforests, pristine beaches and laidback lifestyle, Kauai is perfect for couples who want a more authentic Hawaiian experience. It’s also home to some of the most picturesque waterfalls and gardens that make for an unforgettable backdrop to your big day.

This is the least visited island in Hawaii and preserves much of its culture. It’s ideal for elopement couples who are interested in off-the-beaten path experiences and want to have more seclusion on their wedding day.

To be legally married in Hawaii, you’ll need a marriage license and an officiant to perform the ceremony. For those who want to DIY it without one of the Hawaiian elpement packages, you’ll still need to get a wedding officiant who is legally registered with the State of Hawaii. While some couples choose to have a friend or family member officiate, this isn’t something I recommend as it requires them to become a state-approved “marriage performer.” You’re better off getting married legally with a license officiant – you can do this with a marriage paperwork meeting in our office.  Then with the legal part of the marriage done, go ahead and have a ceremony performed by a friend or family member without the for them to get ordained and licensed by the State.. In addition, a Hawaii wedding permit is required for beach elopements or any elopement that takes place on public land. Your wedding photographer or planner can help you acquire one of these.

Hawaii Sunset Wedding

The Big Island

Hawaii may seem like paradise, but without having one of the Hawaiian elopement packages, planning an elopement still involves making a lot of decisions. The time of year and location you choose will be important to your overall experience. If you’re planning to elope in the summer, for example, you should know that this is Hawaii’s peak season – meaning that it will be busier at popular locations.

The Big Island offers some epic backdrops, such as the lava fields at Hawai’i Volcano National Park and the beautiful black sand beaches of Kiholo. You’ll also find world-class resorts and a diverse landscape that includes soaring volcanoes, waterfalls, and lush gardens.

It’s important to remember that weather conditions in Hawaii can change quickly, especially during the winter months of October through April. If you’re planning an elopement in this time frame, it’s a good idea to consider private venues for your ceremony, as some of the more public locations require permits and are closed during this time.
