Papailoa Beach

Brides and grooms adore this long, white-sand beach for its seclusion and privacy, and of course, beauty. At Papailoa Beach, you are in a residential area of multi-million dollar beachfront properties where the coastline offers sand and/or rocks to marry on, as well as crashing waves in the background for dramatic wedding photos. This area is very spacious, and although others may be around, it feels like it’s all yours!

Details:

Papailoa Beach : Oahu's gateway to the famous North Shore. Close to Haleiwa town.

A very private beach on the north shore.  Due to its limited accessibility, there are very few visitors to this beach.  It is tucked away behind luxury beach front homes.  However it does have a small parking lot.  This is a great spot for a very small group.

Papa’iloa Beach is located on Oahu’s famed North Shore, but it’s not as far around our island as is Kawela Bay. For your marriage or elopement, you just need about an hour to drive from Waikiki to this gorgeous, isolated wedding venue. Here, the beach features especially deep, powdery sand as well as craggy tide pools that make for wonderful photos and exploration.

Get LOST in Hawaii's beauty

There are waves year round at this locale, so your marriage ceremony will resonate with that awesome sound of surf and suds swirling at the shore. This lesser-known, private beach was brought into focus in recent years because the T.V. series LOST was partially filmed here. In the winter, the waves can be huge, and a nearby surf spot is called HIMALAYAS in reference to the highest mountains in the world. During the calmer summer months, spear fishers are often seen diving on the offshore reefs.

If you would like to incorporate a pet into your nuptials, this is the best locale for your furry friend. Additionally, the sunsets at Papa’iloa Beach are often magnificent.
