We could not be happier with choosing Rev James Chun to perform at our wedding. Being a destination wedding, it can be stressful relying on online reviews and recommendations but from the first email from James, we knew we were in great hands! James is a kind hearted man who performed an amazing, heart felt ceremony. We, along with our guests were so impressed with his level of professionalism and James truly made our day so special. We don't have enough nice words to say!!!

I'd like to thank Rev. James for being the special being to unite us on our wedding day! His calm demeanour and attentiveness kept the rehearsal stressfree. Rev. James was amazing to work with. He came in and showed us how to put on an official ceremony. He was patient with our whole party while we rehearsed. I was reassured when he had us run through it as many times as we needed to feel confident. On the day of the ceremony, I can say we were all touched by his words and delivery. It was truly a blessing to have him be part of our special day!

Rev. James Chun was AMAZING! We didn't meet until the day of our wedding but he was great with timely communication during the planning process. James Chun was our celebrant and a truly wonderful one at that! We are from Australia and had only spoken with Jamss via email until the ceremony. He was always quick to respond to emails and provided much help to us along the way. On the day, all I can say is WOW! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. All our friends and family commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and the words James spoke with his service. He was so wonderful to deal with and I couldn't recommend anyone higher! A must for your perfect wedding in Hawaii.

James Chun was the perfect fit for our wedding ceremony. His beautiful words were exactly what we had envisioned for our day and everything flowed well with the vows that we wrote ourselves. He was very professional in all of our encounters with him via phone, email, and in person. We would definitely recommend having him attend your wedding rehearsal as he gave us very good feedback and guidance for our day. We feel so grateful to have had Rev. Chun officiate our destination wedding in Hawaii! In our first meeting with him, we knew instantly that he was the “one” to marry us. He was incredibly friendly, warm, and professional. He really took the time to get to know us as a couple and understood our vision in planning our ceremony. Reverend Chun was so flexible in our spontaneous desired wedding. His ceremony performance was far more romantic and sentimental than I could have hoped for. He has a calm demeanor and makes for a peaceful setting.

Rev James Chun performed our wedding ceremony on 2/15/2014. It was a very casual ceremony, just the two of us. It was everything we envisioned. Rev James was wonderful and performed our ceremony just as we expected. He was very responsive to my emails, as I was planning from home in New York. He is priced well, very down to earth personality, and he showed up on time. His follow up after was also wonderful and prompt. We received our marriage license within 4 weeks. I would highly recommend Rev James.

Reverend Chun performed an excellent, yet quick & simple ceremony. Really appreciated that he took the time to reply to all of my emails, and answer my questions leading up to the "big day". We're from Canada and had our destination wedding in Hawaii. We didn't actually meet or speak to James prior to our wedding day. Our choice was purely based on vendor recommendations from our venue caterer (Halekulani) and our wedding coordinator (ABC), watching previous weddings videos online, and reading reviews of weddings that he's officiated. We were convinced he would be a great officiant to marry us -- and we were so right! James was both professional and personable. During the ceremony, a guest's cellphone rang and James, rather than ignoring it, was able to ease the moment with a good natured "That's my favourite song!" which made us all laugh. We really appreciated his calming presence and his sense of humour. Overall we would definitely recommend James Chun!

We only Skyped with Reverend James once before our wedding and didn't meet in person until right before the ceremony. Despite that, he still made our wedding ceremony meaningful and lovely for us and all of our guests. He helped us put together our ceremony order and was accommodating when there were last minute changes. He does about 1000 weddings a year, so he definitely knows how to make it work!

Classy and sophisticated. I worked with this officiant for my destination beach wedding from the New Orleans area. His prearranged packages can take the need out of a wedding planner for a small ceremony. When I went to get my marriage license from the health department, the ladies there said he was very popular. He was able to thoughtfully and elegantly say things during the ceremony that made it seem like he knew us for a long time. I watched videos of other officiants who did not have the calming voice or diction of Reverend James. My guests commented to me on how impressed they were by him. He is highly recommended.

James made our day extremely special. He did't know us that well, but some how he manage to capture all of what we have gone through and what's important to us in life, in a very special poem. I'm very happy that we those to use James. We even had issues with the weather as we were getting married on the beach, and he was just so helpful and just turned in whatever direction we decided. You will not be disappointed if you choose James, I'm sure he will make your day as special as mine.

Planning a destination wedding can feel like a daunting task, but Rev. James Chun made it easy! He gave me all the instructions I needed so that we were well prepared for our big day! Rev. Chun was very flexible and was willing to change the time of the wedding based on the weather forecast and our photographer so we were ensured good weather! We had a beautiful rainbow for our wedding photos! We will never forget our beautiful Hawaii beach wedding with Rev. Chun!

I picked James based on reading info on his website and other people's reviews on this site. I was a bit hesitant leading up to the wedding because I had never met him before. Met James at our rehearsal and he was very nice and professional! He was on time for both the rehearsal and ceremony. He was very patient as we went through the motions during the rehearsal. He gave me and my fiance pointers on where to look, what to do during the ceremony. Very happy that we chose James to officiate our wedding! On the wedding day, he made it very memorable with his presence and loving words. We are so blessed to have found him. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you Rev. James!

Rev. James Chun was our celebrant at our destination wedding recently and he was exactly the type of officiant we were looking for – pleasant, friendly, and responsive to our requests and wishes. Our ceremony was simple but special – no crude jokes or ‘ball and chain’ type comments. He acknowledged our requests to make no reference to religion and to dress in formal attire (no loud Hawaiian shirts), and made us feel relaxed and confident that our ceremony would run smoothly. We are very happy with our decision to use him as our celebrant and would highly recommend his services.

Such a pleasure to have had Rev. James Chun for our ceremony. Very professional and organized which I appreciated. The ceremony could not have been any more perfect. He had my fiancé and I crying our eyes out as we exchanged vows. It's obvious that he enjoys what he does. I appreciated that he did not rush our ceremony. I have been to a few weddings where it felt like the officiant had other places to be, dragged on or just tried to be funny. Trust me, that's one thing your guests will remember!
