How does a lei ceremony work?

Photography

Often couples will ask for a Hawaiian touch to their wedding ceremony. It can be as simple as a more island styled wardrobe, having the ceremony barefooted on the sand, etc. One of my favorite traditions is the exchange of leis during the ceremony. In many ways, it is much like the exchange of rings. But it doesn’t have to be only for the bride and groom – it can also be used as a way on honoring other guests at the wedding. You can also make the occasion extra special for those attendees by presenting leis to them at the ceremony. It also makes for great photo ops
